Catholic Migrant Community

C.M.C., Catholic Migrant Community, one of the longest and active groups in St. Alfred’s Church, was organized in 1994, through the initiative care of Rev. Fr. Roa and the strong support from Bro. Amado Atayan.

The CMC organizes the Tagalog Mass for the fellow Filipino parishioners in Shatin, at St. Alfred’s Church, which is the only church in the New Territories offering Mass in Tagalog .

Our Goal: To unite Filipinos under one roof.

Our Focus:

We give priority and attention to the new comers in Hong Kong. By making them involved in the services for the parish. e.g. providing training as Commentators, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, and Collectors, and giving them the opportunity to sing in the choir, we hope to develop in them a sense of belonging to the church and encourage them to become future volunteers.

Our Theme: We Care, We Love, We Share "Your Family, Your Home".
Lord Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
